Barbara, Pangasinan ================================================================= HOUSING AGENCY CUTS FEES TO RENEW DELINQUENT HOMELOANS In line with the vision of Vice President Noli de Castro, concurrent Chairman of the Housing and Urban Development and Coordinating Council (HUDCC), to bring benefits of loan relief to the economically-distressed housing borrowers and in order to encourage them to renew their delinquent loans and afford the monthly payments, the National Home Mortgage Finance Corporation (NHMFC) has waived the previously-required downpayment equivalent to 10% of the gross interest-bearing portion of the restructured loan. The NHMFC Management announced that in lieu of the 10% downpayment, the borrower needs only to pay a minimum of P1,000.00 plus all unpaid housing insurance premiums. These include premiums for the Home Contributory Fund (HCF) and Home Finance Corporation (HFC) premiums in case of Folio I accounts. In a maximized effort to reconfigurate its collection sytem for a more intensified collection servicing, NHMFC has also made the payment of Real Estate Tax as an optional requirement for submission in applying for the Special Repayment Program (SRP). SRP allows the restructuring of all housing loan accounts that are in arrears, including all other accounts which have previously availed of the regular loan restructuring program under R.A. 8501 and retains the interest rate of the original loan, with affordable monthly amortizations payable for at least 15 years, or the remaining term of the loan, whichever is longer. For particulars, all interested borrowers may visit or communicate with NHMFC’s Collection and Accounts Management Group, located at 2nd Floor, Filomena Bldg., 104 Amorsolo Street, Legaspi Village, Makati City with Tel Nos. 893-0395/893-1501 loc. 390 or 391. For regional accounts, they may visit or communicate to any NHMFC satellite office nearest them. |
